metal parts manufacturer in central NE is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager.
Relocation assistance is available (this company does not relocate or sponsor candidates from outside of the US).
***Candidates must have experience in stamping, pressing, tooling, and reliability engineering as well as the metals industry knowledge.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the operation of a department involved in the maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate/manage plant maintenance operations and team. - Oversee, manage, and request repairs, vendor repairs, supplies, services, parts, and equipment to maintain equipment and the facility in safe operating condition. - Implement plant-wide preventive maintenance program to ensure optimal performance and limited downtown of equipment. - Manage and communicate status of all equipment and facility breakdowns or repairs. - Oversee the activities of the maintenance team to effectively support plant operations. - Identify / schedule / implement cost savings projects in conjunction with related plant departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent. - 10 + years of experience in manufacturing plant engineering and maintenance. - 5+ years in a maintenance leadership role - Experience in the metals (or similar) industry. - Knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical, Stamping, Cutting, Forming, Grinding, Tool Sharpening, Milling, Machine Setup, Spark Testing, Basic Carpentry and HVAC, Electrical Repairs, Time Studies, Machine Repair and Tooling Selection. - Able to read blueprints and machine schematics. - Analytical and problem-solving skills - Knowledge of ISO/IATF16949 requirements
